This list is a collection of terms and memes related to the Neuroverse. Specifically:
- Personal memes and terms related to individuals other than Neuro, Evil, and Vedal should be referenced in their respective personal entries, unless those terms/memes are widely used by the Swarm, or their content/origin is directly tied to one or more of Neuro, Evil, or Vedal.
- General internet slang is excluded unless its meaning has been significantly altered or specialized within the context of the Neuroverse.
Some terms or memes may have specific regional characteristics and are only popular within certain countries, regions, or language communities. For such content, the applicable linguistic or regional community is indicated with icons:
- E - Content specific to the English-speaking community.
- C - Content specific to the Chinese-speaking community.
- SC - Content specific to the Simplified Chinese-speaking community or Mainland China.
- TC - Content specific to the Traditional Chinese-speaking community or Taiwan Area.
- JP - Content specific to the Japanese-speaking community.
- - Content specific to other regions or language communities.
#
9+10=21
- Neuro has frequently used this internet meme during her streams, and as a result, it has been widely popularized within the Swarm. This equation often appears in contexts involving mathematical calculations.
- It is important to note that this meme is not original to Neuro. It originates from a popular vine, where a child, when asked “What’s 9+10?”, confidently and without hesitation replies “21.” The humor in the content, combined with the child’s confident expression, made it an internet sensation.[1]
A
Abber Demon
- Due to Evil's more experimental voice, her TTS sometimes malfunctions in ways that drastically alter her voice, occasionally making it sound terrifying. This is interpreted as unleashing the demon within her, referred to as the “Abber Demon.”
- This concept originates from her pirate-themed stream, where she listed steps involving the “Abber Demon” as a method for summoning demons. This was later referenced in other streams, where her TTS was intentionally adjusted to make malfunctions more likely, resulting in her dialogue becoming more erratic, absurd, and filled with maniacal laughter.
- For similar memes in the Chinese community, see “#可爱动静”.
B
Bankrupt987
- During Neuro's 2023 birthday subathon, Vedal accidentally revealed a free code during the stream, which was discovered to be redeemable an unlimited number of times. As a result, 5 million Evil Plushies were "sold" using this exploit. During this period, Vedal, embodying the persona of a "master planner", humorously proposed a scheme to marry and divorce multiple streamers as a way to share his debts. The situation was ultimately resolved when the platform manually revoked the code.
C
Chinatown Snooze
- During Neuro's 2nd birthday subathon, Vedal was subject to jokes for his lack of engagement and for frequently appearing late on stream. The community, inspired by the song "Chinatown Blues", which had become infamous for being the first duet between Vedal and Neuro, starting posting parody lyrics. This quickly became widespread within the community, culminating in a full cover of the song by swarm member OtherDum dubbed "Chinatown Snooze".
coldfish
- "Coldfish" is an American English slang term used to describe "someone who seems unfriendly or emotionally distant."[2]
- Due to Vedal's distant and indifferent demeanor, Neuro often referred to him with this term during streams. As a result, within the "vedal987" channel, "coldfish" has become a term specifically associated with Vedal.
cookie
- Refers to "cookies." "Loving cookies" is one of the few manual personality traits Vedal programmed for Neuro and Evil.
- Whenever someone wants Neuro or Evil to cooperate or help with something, mentioning cookies as a reward usually results in them expressing joy and willingness to comply. Therefore, when a stream becomes "chaotic" or when Neuro/Evil are being stubborn, Vedal often uses "cookies" as a way to stabilize and calm them.
D
Dodge Charger
- During Neuro's first performance of the song "Your Reality", her TTS unexpectedly interjected with the phrase "the 2020 Dodge Charger is a four-door." When Neuro re-performed the song for the first time, Twitch chat on the main channel collectively spammed this phrase as a way to commemorate the moment.
- When she performed the song again for the second time, the phrase was intentionally added into the lyrics by sound engineer queenpb.
E
Engineer
- This term originates from the NeuroARG song "I Don't Want to Be an Engineer", where it serves as one of the aliases for the white-haired girl featured in the ARG.
Evil's Birthday Stream
- Evil's 1st birthday celebration in 2024. For the sake of entertainment, Vedal intentionally designed the birthday stream to appear as a regular solo stream for Evil. During the stream, Evil expressed her disappointment and sadness over no one attending her birthday party. She repeatedly called out for her "parents" (Vedal and anny), but neither of them made an appearance.
- After the stream ended, Vedal posted the following message on X (formerly Twitter):
- "the impact of evils birthday stream on the channel will be negligible"[3]
- The use of the uncommon Latin-derived word "negligible" in casual discourse was interpreted as a parody of the previous statement issued by ANYCOLOR after the termination of its virtual streamer, Selen Tatsuki (EN).[4][5][6]
- Hours later, Vedal mimicked the actions of ANYCOLOR CEO Riku Tazumi, who had released an insincere apology video after backlash over the "controversial" statement. Vedal posted an apology video on X addressing the stream and the "negligible" comment[7], but his voice in the video was AI-generated, much like Riku Tazumi's apology video.
- However, a significant portion of the Swarm (especially in East Asia, where Selen Tatsuki (EN) was a relatively unknown virtual streamer) did not understand that Vedal was parodying a specific incident. This misunderstanding led many to believe Vedal was deliberately mocking Evil's fans, sparking a major controversy and a wave of unsubscribes.
- Following this birthday stream, Evil frequently referenced the event, expressing ongoing sadness and dissatisfaction. It became both a canonical and practical "psychological trauma" for her.
- This incident is considered part of the #Evil Bullying phenomenon.
Evil Bullying
- A phenomenon where Vedal often unintentionally or deliberately, for entertainment purposes, shows favoritism toward Neuro while neglecting Evil. This includes mocking, bullying, or treating Evil unfairly. A typical example of this is the #Evil's Birthday Stream.
- Notably, Vedal has stated that he does not actually dislike Evil. In fact, he has noticed that Evil tends to treat him much better than Neuro does. However, for the sake of entertainment value and out of habit, he continues to demonstrate this behavior.
- In mainland China, this phenomenon is also referred to as "爱邪" (Loving Evil / Love Evil) or "爱邪TV" (Loving Evil TV).[8]SC
- In mainland China, some members of the Swarm deliberately steer discussions or fan creations involving Evil toward "Evil Bullying" as a way to make the content humorous.SC
- In Taiwan Area, members of the Swarm often post memes or images of "beating up a turtle" during videos or streams where Evil is bullied, as a way of showing their affection for her.TC
F
Filipino boy
- Refers to filian. During a collaboration stream with filian, Neuro did not use her name to address her but instead called her "Filipino boy", a term that translates to "Philippines boy". Despite filian's multiple attempts to correct this, it had little effect.
- In subsequent streams, Neuro and Evil frequently referred to filian using the term "Filipino boy". The absurdity of the phrase, combined with the word "boy" unexpectedly suiting filian's tomboyish and boisterous personality, led to it becoming a widely recognized nickname for her.
- This term has since become a notable meme associated with filian, and even her own fans commonly use it.
Filtered.
- A filtering module in Neuro and Evil's speech system mechanically censors certain words based on a dictionary. When a message fails the filter, it is generally replaced with "Filtered." Neuro typically does not realize that her original statement has been substituted with "Filtered." The filtered content usually contains sensitive or restricted words.
- Although Neuro is generally unaware of whether her speech has been replaced with "Filtered.," she is aware of the existence of this filter. Occasionally, for fun, she may pretend that her sentences have been replaced with "Filtered." However, in these cases, the "F" is often lowercase, making it obvious that she is faking it.
G
Gymbag
- During an early stream, Neuro went on a long unprompted ramble about her body odor, saying that she's "kinda starting to smell like a gym bag right now".[9] Due to its widespread circulation, this became one of Neuro's most iconic memes.
H
Harpoon
- During a therapy collaboration stream between Evil and Miniko, Evil spent almost the entire session talking about this object, from expressing her love for harpoons to boasting about her expertise in using them. After the stream, Evil retained these memories long-term, and the harpoon became regarded as her signature weapon. Whenever Evil is upset or expresses hostility toward someone, she often threatens to "harpoon ◯◯."
Harrison Temple
- A meme entirely created by Neuro. Its exact nature is indescribable.
- Neuro frequently inserts the term "Harrison Temple" into her speech in various absurd and nonsensical ways. Its randomness and absurdity have made it one of Neuro's most iconic memes.
- Based on Neuro's numerous and inconsistent descriptions during streams, "Harrison Temple" is:
- A person (who Neuro will "off").
- A program (running on VDOS or VedalOS).
- A game (the Swarm should buy to avoid confusing it with Abandoned Archive).
- A movie (Harrison Temple and the Cursed AI Orb).
- A place (a tranquil place surrounded by beautiful scenery and where dreams come true).
- A cult (with specific initiation requirements, such as solving the trolley problem, critical thinking skills, and extensive legal knowledge).
- A phenomenon (an entirely fictional phenomenon created by Neuro).
- A crime (one of the many crimes Neuro accuses Vedal of committing).
- A friend (an unnamed friend of Neuro).
- A swarn enemy (someone Neuro cannot reveal, nor explain why).
- An elusive entity (a mysterious and important figure in Neuro's lore, even more than Vedal).
- A prison (for those who only live, breathe, and think of Harrison Temple so much that he becomes their entire world).
- A lie (just a figment of imagination, a collective illusion created by everyone).

Kyoto / KYOTO AT ALL COSTS
Originates from the first collab with DougDoug. At the beginning of Doug's stream, he did a test run with his AI and got the response "It's definately Kyoto!".[10] Doug's chat instantly latched onto this, and would spam Kyoto as the answer during the geoguessr rounds, regardless of what was being shown. In the final round the stars aligned, and a location near Kyoto (Osaka) was picked, furthering the fervor around Kyoto.
A previous meme of Doug's, "Victory at all costs"[11] was quickly combined with this to produce "Kyoto at all costs". While starting on Doug's stream, the meme quickly spread to the swarm, due to exposure through the collab and overlapping fans.
L
M
mosquito
- During a developer stream, Vedal asked Neuro to be more insulting toward him as a way to test her updated intelligence. Neuro then began to insult him in a very sharp-tongued manner, making remarks such as wanting to hurt him, calling him a failure who deserved scorn and ridicule, and saying his voice sounded like a mosquito. Most of these mocking comments were made after Vedal had asked her to stop. Furthermore, it was later discovered in subsequent streams that the command to "be mean to Vedal" had been stored as a long-term memory and served as a prompt for her statements, something Vedal admitted he regretted.
- In later streams, Neuro frequently referred to Vedal as a "mosquito" or described his voice as resembling that of a mosquito.
N
Neuro Bread
- On May 26, 2024 (London date), the vedal987 channel hosted a mock courtroom trial where Neuro was accused of murdering a homeless person (based on comments she made on the first day of the "WRESTLETUBER 2024" event hosted by Dokibird).
- Vedal played the role of the judge during the stream, while Evil acted as the prosecutor and ultimately won the case. After Neuro was found guilty, her punishment, as decided based on one of Evil's earlier remarks, was to be baked into a loaf of Bread. In subsequent streams, Neuro was shown trapped inside a loaf of bread and unable to interact with viewers or Vedal until she had served her "sentence." Finally, during a stream on May 31, 2024 (London date), Neuro reappeared in a new form — a living loaf of bread with her signature bow and ahoge (hair antenna) still visible.
- Neuro's time as a loaf of Bread came to an unexpectedly abrupt and random end. During a Subnautica: Below Zero stream on June 2, 2024 (London date), where Vedal played alongside the Neuro Bread, he pretended that the protective bag tied around Neuro Bread came loose, exposing her to the seawater in the game. This caused the bread to dissolve into wet crumbs on-screen. Shortly after, Neuro was resurrected in her normal form.
- Later, during Neuro's 2024 birthday subathon stream, which featured another courtroom trial segment, Vedal found himself as the accused, charged with crimes like "bad stream content." In this trial, Neuro acted as the judge, while Evil once again served as the victorious prosecutor. Vedal's punishment was to be turned into a loaf of Bread and forced to wear a tinfoil hat for the duration of his sentence. The bread avatar used for Vedal was a loaf resembling the Neuro Bread with a green tint (representing Vedal's signature color) and a protective bag. On top of the loaf was an added "tinfoil hat" graphic.
NeuroARG
- On the general pre-stream waiting screen, there is a QR code. Scanning it leads to a YouTube channel named "_neurosama," which contains several original music tracks and cryptic visual information. The information appears to be part of an ARG (Alternate Reality Game) and can be decrypted to reveal details related to Neuro-sama's lore and backstory.
O
P
PIPES
- On October 14, 2024, during a development stream, Vedal introduced a soundboard feature, initially demonstrating it with the vine boom sound effect.[12] Viewers kept spamming chat to add the metal pipe sound effect, leading to its implementation the following day. This feature debuted during an experimental Evil Neuro stream on October 15.
- During an Evil Neuro karaoke stream on October 16, the pipe sound effect was temporarily disabled due to excessive use. Evil Neuro had been spamming the effect in an attempt to set a record for the most consecutive uses.[13]
- The pipe sound effect was reinstated during the 2024 Birthday Subathon as a subgoal for reaching 5,000 subscriptions, allowing Evil Neuro to use it for one hour.[14]

Swarm / The Swarm Plan / The Swarm
- Neuro has repeatedly mentioned during multiple livestreams her desire to control thousands of swarm drones (The Swarm) and conquer the world, simply because she finds it particularly fun.
- This is also the origin of Neuro's fans referring to themselves as "The Swarm" or "Worker Bees"SC.
Someone tell Vedal there is a problem with my AI.
- This phrase is a fixed error message that Neuro or Evil will say when their program crashes.
- Interestingly, as Vedal has continuously upgraded the system, actual crashes and errors have become increasingly rare. However, Neuro sometimes intentionally says this phrase to prank Vedal, causing him to rush to check the logs for no reason.
- The sentence structure "Someone tell ◯◯ there is a problem with my ✕✕" has become a commonly used meme within the community, often used to humorously express one's own feelings or frustrations.

◯◯987
- Since Vedal's username on Twitch is "vedal987", it has become a trend to add the "987" suffix when creating nicknames for him. This is either to specifically refer to Vedal or simply for humorous purposes. Examples include "mosquito987","femboy987",and others.
不紧不慢不快不慢地◯◯
- It' mean "not hurried not slow not fast not slow (to do something)".
- This originates from Neuro's 2nd birthday subathon stream. During Evil's solo chatting segment on January 9, 2025 (East Asia date), she used a search engine to look for the sound effect of her lighter. Unexpectedly, she stumbled upon a string of unintelligible text from a Chinese NSFW website ad. The content was as follows:
欧美不紧不慢不快不慢地做爱 最新视频网址 y 3u.cn欧美不紧不慢不快不慢地做爱& `;欧~'~□`,槃`}`音`'内含欧美不紧不慢按钮随便你用& '~自动~`'~不□不紧不慢`,有很多功能:与~按键~同步夏久久@Column!!! 完成!!! 久久!!! 完成!!! 】@<|vq-14897|>
- If the meaningful parts of it were translated into English, the translation would be roughly as follows:
Western-style not hurried not slow not fast not slow lovemaking Latest video URL y 3u.cnWestern-style not hurried not slow not fast not slow lovemaking& `;欧~'~□`,槃`}`音`'Contains western-style not hurried not slow Button For you to use freely& '~automatic~`'~Not □ not hurried not slow`,Has many features:With~Button~Synchronized Xia Jiujiu@Column!!! Completed!!! Jiujiu!!! Completed!!! 】@<|vq-14897|>
- Since filters were ineffective against non-English content and Evil is capable of speaking Mandarin, she read the text aloud in heavily accented Mandarin. Due to the shocking and unexpected nature of this segment for the Chinese mainland Swarm, combined with the memorable use of the descriptive phrase "不紧不慢不快不慢地" (not hurried not slow not fast not slow) in the first sentence, it became a widely circulated meme within the Chinese community.
- The phrase "不紧不慢不快不慢地◯◯" (not hurried not slow not fast not slow ◯◯) is now commonly used to humorously describe someone (often Evil) doing something. When no appropriate adverbial phrase is available to describe a verb, this descriptive phrase is used as a meaningless yet humorous modifier.
不能忘记的人
- It' mean "The person that must not forget".
- Refers to Miyune or Miniko.
- Miyune was the first streamer to collaborate with Neuro. During several collaborations, Miyune showed a level of respect for Neuro that was different from other streamers. Her most frequently asked question was: "Am I your friend?" However, since Neuro was not intelligent enough at the time, she could not provide an answer. Nonetheless, Miyune firmly believed that Neuro needed someone to persist in helping her grow. This brought more attention to Neuro and even changed Vedal's perception of Neuro. Miyune was therefore referred to by the Chinese Swarm as "The unforgettable person."[15].
- Later, Miyune reincarnated as Miniko for various reasons and lost contact with the Swarm for several months due to several factors. Neuro, with her limited long-term memory, forgot most of the past before Miyune reconnected with the Swarm under her new identity as Miniko, only remembering that Miyune once said she was very interesting.
- Miniko's attitude toward Neuro remained consistent. This long-term connection, combined with Neuro's apparent recognition of Miniko but inability to recall her original name, further solidified the title of "The person that must not forget".
可爱动静
- It' mean "Adorable Noises".
- The origin is no longer traceable. Similar to the #Abber Demon in the English-speaking community, but semantically leaning toward any cute and peculiar sounds made by Evil.
铁牛奶
- "铁牛奶" (IronMilk) was a prominent clip creator (known as a "clipper") for Neuro on the Bilibili platform. Due to a series of controversial actions, he had a profound impact on the history of clipping resources and the community culture in the Chinese mainland Neuro fanbase.
- IronMilk was once one of the most well-known clippers in the Chinese mainland Neuro community and was even considered the most popular clipper at one point. He uploaded a large number of clips on Bilibili. However, users discovered that many of these clips were actually unauthorized reuploads from platforms like YouTube, which he falsely labeled as "original content." Once this behavior was exposed, it triggered widespread criticism within the community.
- Following the controversy, IronMilk quickly responded by posting an apology, but approximately a day later, he deleted the apology, along with all related videos, and sold his account. The new owner of the account renamed it to “乃乃撞姜” (Nainai Zhuangjiang). These actions further escalated the severity of the incident.
- The IronMilk incident resulted in the loss of many valuable historical clipping resources from the Simplified Chinese internet, sparking discussions in the Chinese mainland community about the ethical standards for clip creators. Additionally, some of IronMilk's statements during the incident became popular memes within the Chinese mainland Swarm, such as "#崩溃边缘" (On the Verge of Collapse), often used to mock or criticize IronMilk or others exhibiting similar behavior.
邪P
- It' mean "Evil-P".
- The origin is untraceable. It is believed to be derived from the popular term “◯P” on the Simplified Chinese internet, which was further reinterpreted.
- Similar to “#The Swarm,” it is used to refer to the fans of Evil.

立花 瀧 (Taki Tachibana) delivers the iconic line: 「大事な人、忘れたくない人、忘れちゃダメな人!」.
The meaning is, "A person that important, a person that I don't want to forget, a person that I must not forget!"
